In memory of Bob Nihill

Bob Nihill was a life member of the PLAA. He passed away on October 21, 2010. He will be sorely missed.

Below is a reprint of Bob's obituary from the Lethbridge Herald.

NIHILL
November 12, 1944 – October 21, 2010
Robert (Bob) Leroy Nihill, age 65, passed away peacefully in Palliative Care at St. Michael’s Health Centre on Thursday, October 21, 2010 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. 

Bob is survived by his wife Josephine Delilah, his two daughters Kimberley (Steve) Nihill, Karmen (Bill) Nihill, grandson James (Christina) Nihill; granddaughter Ariel Dietl; brothers Ken (Susan) Nihill, Pat (Patti) Nihill; sisters Dot (Lawrence) Daignault, Carol Giroux; along with many nephews, nieces and close friends. Bob was predeceased by his parents Clint and Ina Nihill of Fort Macleod.

Bob was born on November 12, 1944. He grew up working hard on the family farm. After years of doing various jobs, he went back to school in 1981 & earned his Journeyman Locksmith Certificate. He started & ran his own business, Bob’s Lock & Key, in Brooks for the next 23 years, later moving to Lethbridge to be closer to his children.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the following people who made his time here on earth more enjoyable; All his family & friends, Dr. Shields, Will Rochow, driver for Covenant Health, Rick Siemens & staff at London Drugs Pharmacy, all the staff of;
Active Lock & Safe, North-side A&W, 1st Choice Savings & Credit Union, Home Care & Lethbridge Family Services, Cancer Centre at Lethbridge Regional and Palliative Care at St. Michael’s Health Centre.

A Visitation/Prayer will be held from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M., on Monday, October 25, 2010 at EDEN’S FUNERAL HOME, 2424-5th Ave., Fort Macleod. With a Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 2 P.M., at EDEN’S FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Wes Midgett and Mr. Jim Chapman, Officiating. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery, Fort Macleod.

Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s honour to St. Michael’s Health Centre Foundation - Palliative Care, 1400-9 Ave. S., Lethbridge, AB, T1J 4V5 or to a charity of your choice.
