In Memory of Garth Meredith

Garth Meredith

It is with profound sadness that the family of Raymond Garth Meredith of St. Albert, announce his passing on Thursday, Dec 14th at the age of 85.

Garth will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carolyn H Meredith, sons (and wives): Steven (Maria), Kevin (Ulla), Ray (Carol), Ken Dunbar; daughter: Kim Dunbar, Brother: Bob (Marion) as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Garth was a retired RCAF pilot (known as” Stretch” during the day), and spent the better part of the last 35 years driving around St. Albert & Edmonton in his Meredith Lock & Key van, rescuing stranded motorists and homeowners. While a gruff exterior was evident, his heart was like melted butter to his family and friends and he was never one to shy away from telling a really corny joke.

A celebration of life was held Dec 20th at Connelly-McKinley St Albert Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in R. Garth Meredith’s name to the Salvation Army, 2003 Tudor Glen, St. Albert, T8N 3V4 and/or The Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 163 St, Edmonton, AB T5V 0B9.
